Time

So, this morning I was pumping gas.
I hear a voice say, "What time is it?"
I still have my head down pumping gas.
I hear a voice say, "Hey!" in an annoyed tone.
I look up and a man says, "What time is it?"
I say, "Fifteen 'till 6"
The man walked away without even a "Thank you."

So where has politeness gone?
I could have called him on it and
said something like, "Oh, are you
talking to me? Sorry, but since my
name is not 'Hey' I was a little
confused at first."
But the downside of that might
have been the man going to his
truck, reaching behind the seat
and pulling out a gun to shoot
me with.

I don't think that's a
far-fetched scenario.
Do a little research

things like this
happen.
