Renewal

I bought a shoeshine box a while ago at
an antique store, which was more like a
junk store. Anyway, it became damaged
so I decided to take it apart, sand it and
re-finish it. I liked the box. I liked the design.
And, who knows, if I lose my job I may have
to take up shining shoes for a living.

It seemed like a very old shoeshine box
when I bought it and as I sanded it down
ancient smells were released along with the
sawdust.
