So, on the way home I heard this reporter.
He was in an ER when they brought in a young
boy who'd been shot in the chest by some gang member.
And the reporter writes about the scene and the doctors
and the onlookers and the whole thing.
He's obviously written the report, but he's reading it
on the radio.
And I (not a reporter) can't go into an ER.
I don't have the connections.
I can only write about the things I see from my
recliner in the silence of night.
I can write about the shadows on the ceiling
from the light (accent light I think they call them)
under this fern-like plant that's in the living room.
Is there something interesting about this?
Not really.
It's just what I saw
before I fell
asleep.
